Based on the success of the BLACK ARTS Collection, a private client commissioned us to design and produce a unique fireplace for their home office. We took our previous inspirations for the collection and developed this arresting piece of residential millwork.
Inspired by popular architectural styles of the end of the 19th, early 20th century, we wanted to capture the confidence and complexity of a multi-level mantle. To combine our own design language with hints of the past.
A leathered black granite hearth and fireplace surround, with blackened ash pillars in our tubular design language, giving an organic material richness that’s contrasted with strict geometry. What is left is functional flush faced cabinetry to store files, a hidden printer and more.
This fireplace is the jewel in our Black Arts crown.
