Crawford Kitchen
A grand kitchen with so much to offer—historical references through the face frame style and grand crown detailing, contemporary lines in the slim line shaker doors and the geometric open shelving in the island—A beautiful space to cook and eat beside the lake.
When Designer Ashley Montgomery asked us to help design and build her kitchen we knew that it would be special, and she did not disappoint. The scale was grand, and the details were considered. We used Farrow and Ball paints to keep the colours muted and deep, and accented the paint with a custom dark skin on the white oak island.
Since the project was so large, we wended up developing a hybrid style of detailing—some parts face frame, but also done in a way that was more cost effective—because everyone has a budget. This hybrid style is a great way to add detail one piece at a time and develop the overall look.
We also used some traditional face frame style on the pantry area with floating shelves and brass rod details.
